Here is a little snippet to what really happens during my hypnotherapy sessions. Lots of people still think its about dangling a watch in front of them and making them do things they don’t want to do. It is soooo not like that!! The first part of the session is about helping you visualise how you want to be because when the brain knows what you want it will work really hard to get you there. When we stop doing this, it reverts to negativity which is when we start suffering from anxiety, stress, fears, relationship issues and many other unpleasant symptoms.

During the second part of the session, I ask you to hop onto the ‘couch’ and I put you in what I call a relaxed state, you are fully conscious, you can walk out of the room if you want to. You actually go in and out of this state naturally thought out the day. When you drive to work for example and can’t remember how you got there or when you are watching television and your partner speaks to you and you don’t hear them because you are so focussed on the programme you are watching. It’s a bit like meditation. More importantly, it allows me access to your sub-conscious part of the brain which means it will help the information talked about in the first part of the session to move into the sub-conscious so you start doing and feeling things without having to try.

This is why hypnotherapy tends to work a lot quicker than other therapies. Generally, most of my clients attend 6 to 12 sessions but they see a difference in themselves before then.
